Weekend Recap:

Cross Country
Middle School XC Takes on the Leavenworth Invitational!

Our 6th-grade boys competed in the combined boys and girls race at the Leavenworth Invitational, taking on a challenging 1.5-mile course packed with hills!

Winter Bolton led the team with an outstanding 9th-place finish in 13:52!

Max Ascanio powered through the tough course to finish 16th in 16:13, followed by Erik Lane, who crossed the line in 19th place in 17:31.

These young runners, as well as Owen Steiner and Jax Couch, had a great season! They are a great group of boys with exciting futures ahead of them!

High School Girls

Our high school girls took on a challenging field of 16 teams and 82 runners at the Leavenworth Invitational, tackling a demanding 5K course with more than 500 feet of elevation gain! This course tested their strength, endurance, and determination from start to finish.

Grace Walsh led the way with an outstanding performance, conquering the hills to capture 1st place in 20:47!

The rest of the team battled through the challenging terrain and represented Manson with determination:

Kathrin Zhuk — 18th place, 25:34

Mia Schoenwald — 31st place, 27:03

Samantha Willoughby — 42nd place, 28:09

Lucy Brown — 62nd place, 30:19

Congratulations to all five girls for taking on this tough course and continuing to put in the work! Our team travels to Liberty Bell next week for our District Championships, where we will need to finish among the top 2 teams or 14 individual runners to continue our season.

High School Boys

Our varsity boys took on the same challenging 5K course with more than 500 feet of elevation gain, competing against 94 runners in a tough field! With relentless climbs and challenging terrain, this course demanded strength, endurance, and grit.

Jacob England led the team with an outstanding 8th-place finish in 18:53!

Landyn Zener fought his way through the hills to finish 59th in 21:47, while Eli Schoenwald continued to gain valuable racing experience, finishing 90th in 25:51.

Our boys also race in Liberty Bell next Saturday, but for them the race will be the League Championships. We are excited to begin the post-season and see our athletes continue to improve!

Manson High School Football Team
The Trojan football team took down the Waterville/Mansfield Shockers by a score of 62-14. The Trojans were led by Quinn Williams with 200+ rushing yards and 4 touchdowns.

Soccer
The girls soccer team lost in a tough battle on Saturday. The score vs. Oroville was 3-0. This ended the girls' season, but they made a ton of growth and will be a scary team to play next year.
